RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • The Vice President of Fuel Market must collaborate and partner with VP’s along with other executive members to develop and execute the annual business plan for the company.
  • Must collaborate with the water team in selling Hydro chain products to fuel customers.
  • Monitor market, customer specific trends and stay in touch with customers, to identify new product launches and services that can be added to the company’s product/services portfolio.
  • Initiate and maintain direct contact with all potential end-user decision makers and influencers.
  • Must establish and monitor price strategies for all levels of customers, responsible for customer unit allocation process, publish announcements to the market regarding annual price increases and periodic surcharges, as needed.
  • Must partner with internal legal dept and customers to negotiate supply contract terms and conditions, as necessary.
  • Participate in the yearly budget planning, monthly forecasts and host biweekly dept meetings.
  • Manage expense spending for area of accountability, monitor accounts and outstanding customer disputes.
  • Must analyze key financial and operational objectives, such as inventory levels, sales revenue, margins, customer date accuracy, future forecasting, etc.
  • Work with Supply Chain to monitor, set and adjust freight rates charged to customers and their expectations.
  • Manage the field service team to check on tank problems and direct report Sales Managers to establish annual sales plans with strategic targets for growth.
  • Identify and drive internal and external process enhancements to drive growth based on voice-of-customer and business needs.
  • Work closely with the Marketing team to promote and ensure branding.
  • The Vice President of Fuel Market must attend, and host networking and events as required and participate in events with other petroleum equipment manufacturers.
  • Monitor inventory levels and address aging inventory with strategies that remove tanks from plants in a reasonable period.
  • Must assess Organizational Competencies in Fuel Markets and Sales Support teams.
  • Must partner with the VP of Technology & Marketing to identify specific technical and digital enhancements to attract customer loyalty.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • The Vice President of Fuel Market must hold a Bachelor’s degree in engineering or similar field. Masters preferred.
  • Must have 15 years of manufacturing/production experience from a similar industrial background from energy, fuel, oil & gas or wastewater management etc.
  • Must have 10+ years of supervisory experience.
  • Must have strong leadership skills and performance management of sales, operations, field operations, and manufacturing staff.
  • Excellent sales skills and tangible previous results in previous, industrial/manufacturing sales roles
  • Must understand new business sales, experience with prospecting/qualifying, and commercializing business relationships
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must have robust technical aptitude and strong negotiation skills.
  • Expected to travel approximately 30-50%
  • Ability to identify potential bottlenecks within both operations and the sales funnel.
  • Ability to quantify growth opportunities allocating time and resources.
  • Must have experience with presenting ideas or industry goals to external clients and internal leadership team, shareholders and board of directors as required.
  • Must be willing to work on-site and fully vaccinated.
