RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage laboratory staff, scheduling, customer inquiries, etc.
- Provide direction to laboratory personnel
- Oversee testing of raw materials
- Manage tasks relating to in-process batches
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies
- Troubleshoot equipment within the lab
- Implement cost saving initiatives
- Implement lean manufacturing techniques if viable
- Maintain functionality of laboratory instruments
- Identify potential issues within the laboratory that could affect manufacturing
- Properly dispose of raw material
- Provide evaluation of finished product
- Ensure lab personnel are properly trained to handle and troubleshoot malfunctioning equipment
- Perform analytical testing research
- Conduct investigations on analytical results
- Oversee instrument acquisition
- Maintain cGMP
- Prioritize work tasks and delegate accordingly
- Other tasks as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or related field required
- Ideal Analytical Lab Supervisor will have minimum 5 years’ experience
- Must have manufacturing environment experience
- Consumer goods experience desired
- Adept at managing lab personnel
- Experience working with raw material disposal/proper handling
- Ability to perform chemical analysis and testing
