RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work alongside the Nurse Manager to organize, plan, direct and assist in the n care of patients.
- Work alongside the multi-disciplinary team to manage the daily operations of nursing care.
- Exercise problem solving skills, coordinate assignments and assist with patient placement.
- Assist with staffing scheduling, performance monitoring, CI activities, staff competency and validation monitoring.
- Mentor nursing staff members.
- Provide patient care, assist other nurses when needed, assigns responsibility to other nurses when needed.
- Lead the interdisciplinary team alongside attending physician.
- Conduct patient and family education, as well as discharge planning.
- Ensure adequate usage of allotted resources.
- Provide extensive cardiac, dental, orthopedic and neurologic care.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have a Bachelor’s degree from accredited Nursing Program.
- Must have a minimum of 3 years of clinical experience.
- BSN required.
- BLS certification.
- Previous nursing management experience desired.
- Experience within emergency unit desired.
- Familiar with acute/urgent medical care.Â
- Knowledge of nursing leadership.
