RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The Assistant Nurse Manager must provide direct patient care, delegate and assign responsibilities as appropriate to others.
- Must serve as a leader of the interdisciplinary team in collaboration with and under the direction of the attending physician.
- The Assistant Nurse Manager must focus on completion of the nursing process including patient/family education and discharge planning.
- Must ensure optimum use of all resources.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- The Assistant Nurse Manager must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
- Must have a minimum of 5 years clinical experience.
- Must hold a current license and registration to practice Registered Professional Nursing in New York State
- Must hold a current BLS certification.
- The Assistant Nurse Manager must hold current ACLS and PALS certifications.
- A certification of specialty organization is preferred.
- Previous Nursing Management experience is desired.
- Must be flexible in shift and schedule.
