RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist the Nurse Manager in the operational management of the nursing unit, including staffing, budgeting, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Provide direct supervision to nursing staff, offering clinical guidance and support.
- Participate in the recruitment, training, and evaluation of nursing personnel.
- Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations, standards, and policies.
- Coordinate patient care activities, ensuring that patient safety and satisfaction are prioritized.
- Facilitate effective communication among healthcare team members, including physicians, nurses, and other allied health professionals.
- Act as a role model in delivering compassionate and efficient patient care.
- Address and resolve patient concerns and complaints promptly.
- Assist in the development and implementation of nursing policies and procedures.
- Participate in committees and meetings aimed at improving patient care and operational efficiency.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Current RN license in New York.
- BSN required; MSN or relevant advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical nursing experience, with at least 1 year in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Strong clinical skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and safety guidelines.
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) and healthcare information systems.
