Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the distribution center automation systems, including sortation equipment, conveyor systems, robotics, and other automated technologies.
- Supervise and provide guidance to team members while assigning tasks, setting performance goals, and conducting regular performance evaluations.
- Maintain accurate documentation of automation systems, including specifications, designs, and operational procedures.
- Implement and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and best practices in system operation and maintenance.
- Coordinate with maintenance technicians to schedule and oversee repairs, upgrades, and equipment installations.
Qualifications:
- A high school diploma is required, and an associate degree and relative experience is preferred.
- Must be flexible on shifts which include nights and weekends.
- Previous experience in distribution center operations and automation systems supervision.
- Ability to learn and adapt to various ERP and/or planning systems.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and learn quickly.
- Able to analyze information and utilize time management.
