RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop battery technology for portable electronics
- Assist in the development of protocols for electrode assembly
- Maintain instrumentation
- Ensure laboratory equipment is calibrated properly and maintained
- Manage lab equipment supplies
- Perform first-level triage on technical issues
- Troubleshoot data connection issues
- Assist in collecting and analyzing data for patentsÂ
- Assemble cylindrical and pouch cell lines
- Develop battery technology for electric cars
- Conduct electrode cutting and cell winding
- Support engineers conducting R&D
- Assist engineering in the development of new materials
- Safely handle chemicals
- Conduct routine maintenance on equipment
- Engage in activities to scaling up manufacturing
- Develop improvement to existing safety practices
- Test batteries
- Write standard operating procedures
- Other tasks as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering field required
- Ideal Battery Assembly Engineer will have minimum 1 year of experience
- Must have assembly experience on electronic products
- Knowledge of lithium-ion battery technology
- Familiarity with electrode fabrication
- Experience with preventative maintenance
- Willing to take a drug screen and complete a background check
