Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:
- The Business Unit Leader will oversee live production, including bird health, feeding, environmental programs, and transfer from pullet houses to production facilities.
- Lead and develop operations teams to meet site goals, fostering a collaborative and performance-driven culture.
- Drive business performance through key metrics such as production efficiency, feed conversion, yield, and labor/material costs.
- The Business Unit Leader will promote employee engagement and retention, creating a positive work environment that aligns with company values.
- Ensure safety, ethical animal treatment, and compliance with FDA, ODA, EPA, USDA regulations, and Good Manufacturing Practices.
- The Business Unit Leader must manage the site’s financial performance, including budget development and cost control.
- Oversee preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and equipment management to ensure operational efficiency and safety.
Qualifications:
- The Business Unit Leader must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Agriculture, or Finance
- Must have 5+ years of operations management experience in poultry, agriculture, or food processing.
- Proven leadership in driving performance and managing diverse teams.
- The Business Unit Leader must have strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills with employees, customers, and regulatory bodies.
- Experience interpreting financial and operational data for decision-making.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and perform physical tasks.
- The Business Unit Leader must have excellent communication skills.
