RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The Buyer is responsible for creating quotes for materials of metal stock, castings, mechanical and electrical components, tooling, and supplies.
- Oversees quotes for maintenance, and services such as electromechanical assembly, heat treating, anodizing, and plating
- Oversees the pricing to meet requirements and negotiate with vendors
- Oversee purchase orders and keep accuracy
- Keep communication with vendors to ensure accuracy
- Oversee quality, pricing and delivery of materials while implementing changes in supplier base if needed
REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 6+ years of experience of purchasing within a manufacturing environment
- 10+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to oversee a large amount of suppliers
- Proficient in Microsoft Applications
