RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Handle tool offsets and compensations as needed
- Set up and operate CNC lathes, milling machines, grinders, gear shapers, etc.
- Conduct validation testing after product has been completed
- Ensure parts are in proper working order
- Notify management of malfunctioning equipment
- Read and interpret blueprints and perform work in accordance with tolerances needed
- Utilize hand and power tools in a safe way within facility
- Deburr parts after machine has been in operation
- Maintain updated documentation of work performed
- Monitor cycle time
- Make program edits
- Utilize micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, CMM’s, bore gages, etc.
- Implement lean manufacturing measures
- Adhere to all safety rules and regulations
- Other tasks as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Ideal CNC Machinist will have minimum 2 years’ experience
- Technical education desired
- Must have experience with lathes, milling machines, gear shapers and grinders
- Experience using calipers, dial indicators, bore gages, etc.
- Experience with lean manufacturing
- Must be willing to undergo background check and drug screen
