RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Operate assigned precision CNC machinery with the ability to adapt and operate various types of machines as needed.
- Set up machines according to blueprints.
- Monitor screen displays and machine operations to identify and address minor programming issues.
- Consistently achieve production goals and efficiency standards.
- Collaborate with the supervisor to suggest process improvements for resolving manufacturing challenges or enhancing cycle time.
- Review process traveler documentation to ensure all revisions match across all paperwork.
- Load material into bar feeders or fixtures as necessary.
- Inspect parts for accuracy in line with the inspection plan and part specifications.
- Confirm that the correct program is running on the machine and that it matches the traveler revision.
- Tag units that are out of specification (OOS) with a red tag and submit them to the Quality Department or Department Manager for review.
- Follow line clearance procedures.
- Regularly clean and maintain the work area, machine, tooling, and parts, ensuring they are free from excess oil.
- Uphold quality standards and maintain acceptable production outputs.
- Perform daily and routine preventive maintenance on the assigned machine in accordance with established standards.
- Adjust machine settings to ensure part conformance to blueprints.
- Replace machine tooling as needed.
- Attend all scheduled meetings.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
- A minimum of three to five years of Machinist experience is required, with a preference for experience in the medical device industry.
- Familiarity with ISO 13485 and FDA 21 CFR 820 standards as they pertain to the role.
- Ability to read Blueprints.
- Excellent in basic math
