RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Operate assigned precision CNC machinery with the ability to adapt and operate various types of machines as needed.
  • Set up machines according to blueprints.
  • Monitor screen displays and machine operations to identify and address minor programming issues.
  • Consistently achieve production goals and efficiency standards.
  • Collaborate with the supervisor to suggest process improvements for resolving manufacturing challenges or enhancing cycle time.
  • Review process traveler documentation to ensure all revisions match across all paperwork.
  • Load material into bar feeders or fixtures as necessary.
  • Inspect parts for accuracy in line with the inspection plan and part specifications.
  • Confirm that the correct program is running on the machine and that it matches the traveler revision.
  • Tag units that are out of specification (OOS) with a red tag and submit them to the Quality Department or Department Manager for review.
  • Follow line clearance procedures.
  • Regularly clean and maintain the work area, machine, tooling, and parts, ensuring they are free from excess oil.
  • Uphold quality standards and maintain acceptable production outputs.
  • Perform daily and routine preventive maintenance on the assigned machine in accordance with established standards.
  • Adjust machine settings to ensure part conformance to blueprints.
  • Replace machine tooling as needed.
  • Attend all scheduled meetings.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
  • A minimum of three to five years of Machinist experience is required, with a preference for experience in the medical device industry.
  • Familiarity with ISO 13485 and FDA 21 CFR 820 standards as they pertain to the role.
  • Ability to read Blueprints.
  • Excellent in basic math
