RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and write programs for CNC machines that meet engineering and manufacturing specifications.
- Analyze job orders, drawings, blueprints, specifications, and design data to calculate dimensions, tool selection, machine speeds, and feed rates.
- Determine the sequence of machine operations and select the proper cutting tools needed to machine workpieces into the desired shapes.
- Revise programs and documents based on engineering changes.
- Test and modify existing programs to ensure efficiency and quality control.
- Work closely with machinists and production teams to optimize machining processes.
- Maintain a comprehensive library of programs and documentation.
- Stay updated on new machining technologies and programming techniques to enhance production efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with all safety rules and regulations in the machining area.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proven experience as a CNC Programmer in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of CAD/CAM software (e.g., MasterCAM, SolidWorks, GibbsCAM) and CNC machine operation.
- Ability to interpret complex blueprints, drawings, and engineering information.
- Excellent mathematical skills and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with various types of metals and other materials used in manufacturing.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- A degree or certificate in manufacturing technology, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
