RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Setup existing programs and processes
- Set up either vertical or horizontal CNC multi axis machining centers
- Set up multi turret lathes
- Setup and measurement of tooling
- Edit part programs for initial set-up
- Map machines for production
- Troubleshoot part tolerance issues
- Maintain inventory using ERP system
- Train other operators on best practices
- Perform calculations including basic math and geometry
- Verifies settings by measuring positions
- Detect malfunctions and replace worn tools
- Adhere to safety procedures and regulations
- Maintains continuity for various shifts by documenting work performed
- Exercise lean principles including visual management and 5S
- Operate CNC machines
- Other tasks as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate’s degree, Technical Certification or equivalent experience required
- Ideal CNC Set Up Technician will have minimum 5 years’ experience
- Must have experience with horizontal machining centers, vertical machining and CNC lathes
- Must have experience with identifying damaged fixtures
- Familiarity with calipers, micrometers, etc.
- Willing to take a drug screen and complete a background check
