RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The CT Technologist must perform quality CT exams using the appropriate technical skills according to the established procedure and protocols.
- Generate appropriate imaging from CT workstation and presents appropriate filming of CT scans to the radiologist.
- Provide exceptional patient care, safety, education, radiation protection, and excellent customer service experience during procedures.
- Must assist with supportive duties such as transporting patients, office/clerical functions, equipment troubleshooting, maintaining supplies in rooms, and cleaning radiographic equipment.
- The CT Technologist must maintain appropriate documentation of patient records especially in the Radiology Information System.
- Perform the duties of a staff technologist while providing direct and indirect clinical supervision and education of students in the clinical setting.
- Occasionally participate direct and indirect supervision of radiology students as well as indirect supervision to coordinate patient flow.
- Must participate in all aspects of care of the CT patient to include pre and post care by supporting the patient care area.
- Must provide excellent customer service to our patients and stakeholders.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- The CT Technologist must have a successful completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program
- Must have a minimum of 1 year of radiologic technologist experience with CT responsibilities.
- Must hold current BLS Certification
- Must hold current New York State Radiologic Technologist License
- Must have a Registered Radiologic Technologist with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT)
- The CT Technologist must be CT certified or ARRT registry eligible (eligible candidates must obtain certification within 1 year of hire)
- Must communicate with patients, students, staff, and physicians.
- Ability to coach and teach team members.
- Must be proficient with computers.
- Must be flexible in shift and schedules.
