RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Calibrate and measure upright cylindrical tanks, horizontal tanks, spheres, trucks, barges, and ships using various methods in line with API Standards.
- Conduct pipeline surveys to ensure accurate data collection.
- Verify the accuracy of measuring equipment through routine checks.
- Inspect equipment visually for visible defects and ensure proper maintenance of calibration.
- Gain proficiency in using electronic calibration tools and maintain up-to-date knowledge of these technologies.
- Utilize Microsoft Office and Excel to import data, review, and prepare charts.
- Document all measurements in the appropriate field reports.
- Coordinate with customers to schedule appointments for calibration and inspection services.
- Adhere to safety protocols outlined in the Global Safety Manual.
- Participate in required training and pass examinations related to petroleum, chemical, and gas inspection, including Right-to-Know training.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Calibration Technician.
- Familiarity with measuring equipment (e.g., Leica Total Station, Rotating Laser Level, Leica Distometer, engineers’ level, theodolite, strapping tapes, tape measure, surveyors’ rods) is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel for data management and chart creation.
