RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Operate chemical process equipment including reactors, distillation units, pumps, and valves.
- Monitor process parameters and adjust as necessary to ensure optimal production efficiency and product quality.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance tasks on equipment to ensure proper functioning and prevent downtime.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
- Perform quality control checks on raw materials, intermediate products, and finished goods to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and perform minor repairs as needed.
- Document process data, equipment readings, and maintenance activities accurately and timely.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, quality assurance, and maintenance to resolve process issues and improve operational efficiency.
- Participate in training programs to enhance knowledge of chemical processes, equipment operation, and safety procedures.
- Adhere to regulatory requirements and company policies regarding environmental, health, and safety practices.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or technical certification in chemical technology or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience working as a chemical operator in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong understanding of chemical processes and equipment operation.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Proficient computer skills for data entry and basic troubleshooting.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality.
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts, weekends, and overtime as needed.
