RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The Chemist must adhere to company standards and work independently completing product development projects from inception to completion (Published formula)
- Monitor quality and conformity of formulas.
- Must handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Must investigate and research issues, should there be any.
- The Chemist must develop formulas; perform product stability on all formulas with cosmetic/ skincare knowledge of shade matching (such as foundations, lipsticks, powder etc.).
- Must meet launch deadlines, with support from supervisor as needed.
- Identify raw materials and technologies suitable for product development.
- The Chemist must provide technical support groups including marketing, product development, analytical testing facilities, process development and manufacturing.
- Manage and train Lab Technicians
QUALIFICATIONS:
- The Chemist must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology or a related field of Science.
- Must have a minimum of 3+years of work experience in Cosmetic Development/Manufacturing background.
- Must have training and coaching experience.
- The Chemist must have knowledge of product innovation and development processes.
- Excellent communication skills
- Must have knowledge of IT and R&I laboratory systems.
