RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design substation structures, foundations, and perform civil grading of substation sites.
- Ensure adherence to submission and fabrication schedules.
- Execute additional tasks as required by the team or project needs.
- Prepare detailed technical drawings, specifications, and reports for high voltage structures.
- Ensure that all designs comply with industry standards, codes, and regulations, including safety and environmental requirements.
- Develop and analyze civil and structural designs for high voltage substations and switchyards, including foundations, supports, and structural frameworks.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in engineering.
- Solid understanding of shallow and deep foundation design and theory.
- Preferred experience with software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, Mathcad, STAAD Pro, LPile, and RISA Foot.
- Experience with preparing and reviewing storm water pollution prevention plans (SWPPP) is a plus.
- Background in site layout, grading, drainage, and erosion/sediment control is advantageous.
- Proficiency in technical calculations and documentation.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Willingness to travel for meetings, client consultations, and site inspections as needed.
- Excellent organizational, documentation, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Capable of managing multiple tasks and handling a busy workload with minimal supervision.
- Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
