RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervise electrical and controls personnel and operations.
- Allocate electrical resources efficiently for optimal MDF site performance.
- Oversee high, medium, and low voltage activities to minimize downtime.
- Develop and maintain electrical maintenance systems.
- Collaborate with production teams to address manufacturing equipment issues.
- Assist the maintenance planner in scheduling preventive maintenance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex equipment issues, including Siemens PLCs, servo drives, process controls, and electrical schematics.
- Maintain and optimize PC process controls.
- Utilize WinCC for data collection and productivity reporting.
- Design and implement control systems to enhance machine efficiency and product quality.
- Provide after-hours support for complex maintenance issues.
- Diagnose and repair electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and control-related machine problems.
- Ensure proper machine setup and adherence to OEM specifications.
- Perform timely and cost-effective repairs while tracking parts and costs accurately.
- Analyze breakdowns to prevent recurrence and communicate unresolved issues for further maintenance.
- Monitor equipment performance to identify potential failures or inefficiencies.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 5 years of manufacturing maintenance experience.
- Minimum 5 years of PLC controls experience (Siemens preferred).
- Minimum 5 years of experience with servo drives and process controls.
- Two-year technical degree in manufacturing controls (or 5 years of equivalent experience).
- Basic computer proficiency for work order and parts management.
- Lean Six Sigma experience (Green Belt or higher preferred).
- Proficiency in Siemens software (Step 7, TIA Portal, WinCC).
- Knowledge of Allen Bradley (AB) PLC software.
- Experience in HMI programming and system integration.
