Job Description

- Previous work experience in cost accounting in a manufacturing industry.
- Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
Job Responsibilities:
- Review standard and actual costs for inaccuracies.
- Ensure proper cost accounting & cost center allocations within the ERP system.
- Independent development of ad-hoc analyses.
- Prepare budgeting reports (for the company and for each department).
- Analyze and report profit margins.
- Conduct monthly analyses of manufacturing variances and cost rates, providing actionable recommendations for improvement.
- Review and appraise capital budgeting and project proposals to ensure return on investment and prudent investment choices.
- Manage and analyze cost accounting data to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Prepare and maintain budgets, forecasts, and financial reports in compliance with GAAP.
- Conduct variance analysis and provide insights on cost management strategies.
- Utilize accounting software and ERP systems for efficient data management and reporting.
- Prepare (monthly, quarterly and annual) cost forecasts.
- Assisting in month-end and year-end closing.
- Bachelor degree or equivalent is required. Finance or Accounting.
- Previous experience in accounting or other related fields.
- Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
- Fundamental knowledge of GAAP.
- Previous work experience in cost accounting in a manufacturing industry.
- Cost accounting principles.
- Computer literacy, MS Excel in particular (familiarity with VLOOKUPs and pivot tables).
- Experience with current computer accounting programs and reporting tools.
- Detail and deadline-oriented.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
