RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee performance of delivery department
- Oversee accident reporting
- Ensure audits are performed in accordance with regulations
- Handle timecards, check-up processes, etc.
- Utilize encompass software
- Monitor and manage KPI’s
- Manage trip inspections
- Ensure equipment functionality
- Engage in safety meetings and encourage a safety-first culture
- Ensure adherence to all CDL guidelines
- Oversee scheduling of drivers
- Develop processes and procedures to encourage efficiency
- Recruit, train, onboard and mentor area managers
- Implement continuous improvement processes
- Participate in continuing education classes
- Maintain understand of all facets of product offerings
- Engage in dynamic routing
- Maintain a valid ABC permit
- Other tasks as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
- Ideal Delivery Manager will have minimum 5 years’ experience
- Must have experience managing drivers
- Must have valid driver’s license
- Must obtain a valid ABC permit
- Knowledge of CDL guidelinesÂ
- Experience with timecard managementÂ
- Ability to recruit, hire and onboard new employees
- Must be familiar with lean initiatives
- Experience with trip inspections
- Willing to undergo a background check and drug screen
