RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The Director of Charitable Grants will create the largest partnerships along with managing portfolio of foundations & top-level corporations.
- Mission oriented and having meaningful relationships with foundation partners and potential corporate.
- Implement and develop strategies to attract new potential donors while retaining and upgrading existing donors.
- The director will strategically build various means for growth from important streams of giving by meeting existing expectations for grants revenue and corporate in the annual budget.
- Work closely with the Senior Grants Manager & Senior Corporate Relations Officer to find new foundation and corporate donors.
- Assist with collateral which is necessary for the solicitation of high-level donations along with funding proposals & the creation of presentations.
- Leading the team members responsible for working with donor segments in coordinating work, maintaining, planning and creating tools, as needed, to organize work around the revenue goals for grants and corporate.
- Create and manage SMART goals along with KPIs while ensuring staff reporting to you meet revenue and activities-based goals.
- Provide support to the CEO, Chief of Philanthropy, and board members while working with major donors.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations or a related field.
- Must have 5+ years of experience in fundraising that includes soliciting major gifts of $100,000+.
- The Director of Charitable Grants will be experienced in writing grant proposals, soliciting corporate gifts, corporate giving and grants processes.
- Ability to work on the lines of the mission of the organization and willingness to take initiatives.
- Proficient in Google Suite and MS office.
- Experience working on philanthropy management technologies like CRM’s, wealth assessment software & donor management systems.
- Strong public speaking, written and verbal communication skills.
