RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee production personnel, equipment, resources, fabrication, etc.Â
- Oversees materials procurement and product quality standards.
- Communicate with divisional VP and sales management team to determine production priorities.
- Ensure customer quality standards and deadlines are met.
- Communicate with various department managers.
- Ensure safety equipment is in operating condition.
- Oversee production personnel including assigning daily projects.
- Ensure ability to answer all procedural and technical questions for production personnel.
- Meet with production employees to discuss issues and performance.
- Review all production records daily and completed work.
- Establish and enforce quality standards and proper procedures.Â
- Supervises department managers and coordinate efforts to maximize productivity.Â
- Oversee training and onboarding new employees.
- Approves overtime and vacation for personnel as needed.
- Procure new technology and equipment when necessary.
- Coordinate production efforts for multiple facilities to meet customer needs.
- Manage purchasing and tracking of COGS per department.
- Supervise maintenance of machinery in all production department.
- Maintains schedule to meet customer deadlines through utilization of equipment and personnel.
- Oversees upkeep and repair of all production equipment:
- Receive daily reports from supervisors on equipment status.
- Schedule and keep track of major repairs.
- Ensure all mechanical and electrical safeties are operational.
- Schedule outside maintenance and equipment via the purchasing manager.
- Identify target goals to determine production costs.
- Prepare and manage annual budget.
- Review monthly production costs.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
- 5 years’ experience within production management role.Â
- Familiarity with production planning and scheduling maintenance.
- Experience within digital printing industry desired.
- Experience with recruiting and training employees.
- Ability to manage complex production projects.
- Ability to travel two weeks per month to various production facilities when needed.
