Key Responsibilities:
- The District Manager must oversee and coordinate production, pricing, sales, and distribution of products.
- Manage staff, create schedules, and assign tasks.
- Review financial reports to measure productivity and identify improvement areas.
- The District Manager must develop and implement departmental policies and procedures.
- Recruit, train, and manage store staff, including handling disciplinary actions.
- Monitor store operations to ensure efficiency and adherence to budgets.
- Manage financial activities, including budgeting and investment strategies.
- The District Manager must set pricing and credit terms based on customer demand forecasts.
- Supervise inventory movement, merchandise procurement, and sales floor operations.
- Develop and execute marketing strategies and store promotions.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
- The District Manager must handle customer service, including resolving complaints and maintaining a positive store image.
- Supervise and maintain store equipment, cleanliness, and safety standards.
- Control expenses, monitor performance, and address any issues promptly.
Qualifications:
- The District Manager must hold a High School Diploma or GED.
- Must have prior Supermarket experience such as Shoprite, Walmart/ other grocery stores.
- Extensive knowledge of company policies and procedures.
- Proficient with AS400, MS Office, and general computer skills.
- The District Manager must have strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Ability to train, motivate, and supervise staff effectively.
- Reliable, adaptable, and able to work under pressure.
- Effective communication and presentation.
- The District Manager must be customer-focused with attention to detail.
- Good time management and organizational skills.
- Always accessible via phone.
