RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborates with management to set production and quality control standards, create budgets and cost controls, and gather information on product types, quantities, specifications, and delivery timelines.
- Consults with engineering teams to modify machines and equipment for improved production efficiency and product quality.
- Addresses personnel issues through hearings and escalates unresolved grievances to human resources for further management.
- Compiles, maintains, and retrieves production data.
- Oversees and directs production activities, setting priorities to ensure efficient operations and cost-effectiveness.
- Develops and implements procedures to resolve operational issues and enhance product quality.
- Adjusts production schedules and priorities in response to equipment failures or other operational disruptions.
- Coordinates production efforts with procurement, maintenance, and quality control to optimize the use of resources, machinery, and equipment.
- Analyzes production, quality control, maintenance, and operational reports to identify and address issues related to product specifications and operational challenges.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma required.
- 5 years’ experience in wood/lumber products manufacturing.
- Minimum 2 years’ supervisory experience.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities with a track record of meeting goals and overseeing safety performance.
- Proficient communicator with strong skills in verbal, written, and presentation formats.
- Extensive understanding of performance management and continuous improvement strategies.
- Exceptional interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving, and team-building abilities.
- In-depth knowledge of optimization equipment and processes. Â
- Background in maintenance is a valuable asset.
