Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for leading and executing the electrical components of both federal and industrial projects.
- Preparing and issuing construction drawings, specifications, studies, and reports.
- Applying a strong design knowledge in areas such as grounding, lightning protection, surge protection, lighting, protective relaying, prime and standby generation.
- Applying knowledge of low and medium voltage motor control centers, low and medium voltage switchgear, medium voltage substations, and UPS systems.
- Solid understanding of the NEC, NFPA, ICC, UFC, energy codes, and relevant IEEE standards.
- Proficiency in modeling electrical systems and performing power system studies using ETAP, PTW, and/or EasyPower is highly preferred.
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and contribute excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a positive, motivated attitude.
- Direct interaction with both internal and external clients.
- Ability to drive projects to successful completion, within both budget and schedule.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field required.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience designing low and medium voltage power distribution systems.
- Professional Engineering License.
- Experience designing lighting systems.
- Experience designing systems for industrial, federal and commercial facilities.
- Accounting experience within a manufacturing operation.
- Ability to act as lead engineer if needed.
- Ability to prepare engineering calculations, BOM’s, cost estimates, etc.
- Ability to provide construction support.
