Responsibilities:
- Taking charge of electrical emergency and scheduled maintenance tasks across the plant.
- Abiding by plant safety, quality, GMPs, prevailing standard practices, and all other plant regulations, rules, and procedures.
- Ensuring wiring complies with NEC standards and updating any wiring to maintain compliance.
- Upgrading obsolete or hazardous electrical installations throughout the plant.
- Adhering to OSHA regulations and safety protocols while working.
- Diagnosing and replacing faulty electrical components like relays, switches, transformers, motors, and sensors.
- Installing, troubleshooting, and repairing low and high voltage (single/three phase) industrial electrical and control systems.
- Ensuring timely, accurate, safe, and high-quality completion of assigned projects.
- Working from ladders, lifts, elevated areas, and confined spaces as needed.
- Maintaining regular communication with other shifts for seamless handoffs.
- Providing detailed updates on job status to operators, management, and fellow maintenance staff.
- Requesting repair or replacement parts through requisitions as required.
- Being flexible with regular hours/shifts to accommodate production and maintenance coverage needs.
Qualifications:
- Must have High School Diploma or GED.
- Must be a Leading electrical technician with over 5 years of experience.
- Must have over 3 years of involvement in electrical manufacturing.
- Understanding of pneumatics and hydraulics, with some welding experience and electrical expertise.
- Experience in PLC programming is advantageous.
- Ability to read, interpret, and document electrical prints and schematics.
- Proficient in utilizing electrical diagnostic equipment like multimeters.
- Advanced skills or formal trades training are essential.
- Proficiency in electrical work is mandatory.
- Familiarity with industry-standard motion sensing and control devices.
- Knowledgeable about DC and AC motors and drives.
- Additional proficiency in Fanuc robot programming is a bonus.
