Key Responsibilities:
- The Employment Litigation Associate must represent and litigate employment-related lawsuits and agency claims covering a wide range of issues.
- Provide legal advice, counsel, and training to employers on employment and labor law matters.
- Advocate for employers in court, arbitration, administrative agencies, and mediations on employment cases, including class/collective actions, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour disputes, contract issues, employment torts, and non-compete agreements.
Qualifications:
- The Employment Litigation Associate must hold a Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials.
- Must have a minimum of 4-6 years of relevant experience, from a large law firm.
- The Employment Litigation Associate must have an active membership in the California Bar, in good standing.
- Familiarity with current procedures of state and federal agencies.
- Experience with Class Actions or PAGA is a plus, but not mandatory.
- The Employment Litigation Associate must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail and dedication to achieving excellence.
- Strong organizational, time management, and project management abilities.
- The Employment Litigation Associate must have demonstrated professionalism, teamwork, and collegiality.
