RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare, estimates, and determine the overall cost of a new or existing construction project
- Create a list with all the necessary materials
- Write down an estimate of anticipated project expenses
- Coordinate with engineers and vendors to accurately calculate costs
- Analyze and collect market data to resolve cost differences
- Prepare and present project plans relating to budget
- Prepare bids for new construction projects
- Schedule meetings with site managers and other personnel as needed
- Maintain updated knowledge of building codes
- Maintain knowledge of construction safety codes
- Travel to building sites when needed
- Validate and present the project's scope of work
- Other tasks as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Ideal Estimator will have minimum 3 years’ experience
- Understanding of building and construction codes
- Ability to prepare estimates and present budgets for new projects
- Experience communicating with vendors, engineers, etc.
- Ability to analyze market data and present findings
- Willing to undergo a background check and drug screen
