RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The Finance Controller is responsible for planning, directing and coordinating all accounting operational functions, accumulation and consolidation of all financial data.
- Ensure all banking functions are appropriately controlled and monitored.
- Responsible for selection, training and evaluation of staff
- Manage departmental costs in adherence to budget standards.
- Must coordinate and prepare internal and external financial statements, assessing current accounting operations, offering recommendations for improvements and implementing new processes.
- Must evaluate accounting and internal control systems, monitoring business performance metrics.
- The Finance Controller is responsible for cash management to ensure adequate cash reserves.
- Drive the preparation of financial statements, statistical data and budgets for the hospital.
- Act as a primary liaison with external audit team and lenders.
- Review engagement letters, management representation letters, management letter comments and all other auditor
- Coordinate audits including arrangements for field work, coordinating reviews by the CFO and CEO, and arrangements for board presentation.
- Ensures professional standards and departmental policy and procedures.
- Must review and authorize disbursements and expenditures with the approval of the ownership.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- The Finance Controller must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
- Must hold a Certified Public Accountant
- Must have a minimum of 5years prior healthcare experience, in an acute care environment.
- Prior management experience
- Must be proficient with Excel suites and computer-based accounting systems.
- Must be fully vaccinated and willing to work on-site.
