Responsibilities:
- Manage preventative maintenance for safety and equipment longevity.
- Maintain inventory and order necessary parts.
- Maintain fleet of trailers, ensuring optimal condition.
- Provide hands-on mechanical repairs and upkeep.
- Act as Safety Committee representative, focusing on safety excellence.
- Report regularly on safety and maintenance concerns.
- Coordinate with external contractors for bids and work.
- Supervise and train CDL drivers, troubleshoot on-site equipment.
- Schedule staff to ensure 24/7 repair and driver coverage.
- Perform daily and scheduled trailer repairs, ensuring proper diagnosis and quality.
- Repair or replace trailer components like tires, springs, and hydraulics.
- Handle electrical, lighting, and emergency after-hours repairs.
- Ensure compliance with DOT inspections and maintain accurate maintenance records.
- Occasionally drive CDL for pickups and deliveries.
- Participate in employee performance management.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Must have a high school diploma or GED required.
- Must have Class A CDL driver's license
- Must be able to lift supplies, materials, and heavy toolboxes—frequently up to 25 pounds, occasionally up to 100 pounds.
- Must demonstrate the ability to learn regulations, including DOT and OSHA standards relevant to the manufacturing industry.
- Must provide a basic set of personal tools.
- Must be computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Office.

- Ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment safely and efficiently.
- Strong technical and problem-solving skills required.
- Experience with power and hand tools, welding, forklift, and heavy equipment operation is essential.
