Job Summary:
The Global Director of Quality is responsible for leading the warranty analysis team, improving product quality, and ensuring efficient resolution of warranty issues. This includes driving root cause identification, product improvement actions, and managing cross-functional teams to ensure timely corrective actions. The position also oversees the development and adherence to quality systems and policies, manages quality engineers and supervisors, and engages with customers on quality-related issues.

Job Summary:

The position also oversees the development and adherence to quality systems and policies, manages quality engineers and supervisors, and engages with customers on quality-related issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- The Global Director of Quality will design and implement an integrated warranty analysis system for efficient data access.
- Lead the analysis team to identify root causes of warranty issues, minimizing warranty costs and "no trouble found" results.
- Collaborate with customer counterparts to ensure proper root cause ownership.
- The Global Director of Quality will use analysis data to drive product improvements with relevant teams.
- Foster strong relationships with key customer counterparts.
- Ensure adherence to quality, MMOG, and ISO 14001 systems.
- The Global Director of Quality will promote a safe, accident-free work environment.
- Develop and maintain Process Control Plans (PCP) for products/models.
- Lead cross-functional teams on corrective actions based on quality results (yield, warranty, customer PPM).
- Mentor teams on root cause analysis and corrective action processes.
- Coordinate customer visits and handle APQP/PPAP for product launches.
- The Global Director of Quality will resolve critical issues following policy and procedure guidelines.
- Represent quality in Lean initiatives and other special projects.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
The Global Director of Quality will oversee up to 25 non-supervisory employees in the Quality Engineering and Reject Repair departments. Responsible for hiring, training, performance appraisals, and conflict resolution.
Qualifications:
- The Global Director of Quality must hold a Bachelor’s degree
- Must have 5 years of supervisory experience, in Tier 1 & Tier 2 Automotive, ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and ISO 14001.
- Proven experience in customer and supplier relationships.
- This role requires a combination of leadership, technical expertise, and strong communication skills to ensure continuous product and process improvement.
