RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Organize and prioritize tasks based on project plans and daily needs.
  • Monitor and track crew attendance, assign daily duties, and oversee work performance.
  • Work closely with Superintendents, Project Managers, Geotechnical Engineers, Inspectors, and subcontractors to ensure project goals are met.
  • Ensure that all safety protocols and quality standards are adhered to, while actively promoting safety on-site.
  • Safely operate and oversee the use of machinery and equipment such as dozers, skid steers, excavators, and track loaders.
  • Conduct daily inspections, maintenance, and cleaning of equipment, ensuring everything is in safe working order.
  • Address and resolve any issues that arise on the job site, providing timely solutions.
  • Ensure that drivers and operators perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment, referring any defects to the maintenance team.
  • Ability to perform hands-on work when necessary.
  • Familiarity with soil, base construction, earthwork quality control testing, and construction procedures.
  • Skilled in operating heavy machinery, including dozers, excavators, skid steers, and track loaders.
  • Ability to operate with a sense of urgency while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Strong ability to handle measurements, calculations, and resolve issues on-site.
  • Effective in providing clear communication and reporting to supervisors, management, and other team members.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum 8 years of experience as a Grading Foreman.
  • OSHA 10-hour certification preferred.
  • Experience with GPS grading systems is required.
  • Deep understanding of construction procedures, equipment operations, and OSHA standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and grade stakes.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills to manage teams and project workflows.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Flexibility to work 40-55 hours per week, including evenings and weekends as needed, depending on project demands.
