Work experience in Health and Safety Administration, in a manufacturing environment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute health and safety plans in the workplace according to legal guidelines
- Prepare and enforce policies to establish a culture of health and safety
- Evaluate practices, procedures and facilities to assess risk and adherence to the law
- Conduct training and presentations for health and safety matters and accident prevention
- Health and safety of the workforce
- Development of a superior workforce
- Development of the Human Resources department
- Development of an employee-oriented company culture that emphasizes quality, continuous improvement, key employee retention and development, and high performance
- Report on health and safety awareness, issues and statistics
- Utilizes appropriate data systems to maintain training records for Safety
- Maintains current federal, state and local health, industrial hygiene and safety regulations for the company
- Maintains an accurate OSHA 200/300 log
Job Qualifications:
- BSc/BA in safety management or relevant field is preferred
- Deep understanding of legal health and safety guidelines
- Must be CPR/First Aid Certified
- Ability in producing reports and developing relevant policies
- Good knowledge of data analysis and risk assessment
