Responsibilities:
  • The Human Resource Leave Specialist will maintain all workers comp documents, including but not limited to: incident investigations, accident and documentation.
  • Report all insurance claims to appropriate company/state based on requirements.
  • The Human Resource Leave Specialist will interact with personnel to conduct accident investigation and root cause analysis and prepare final reports.
  • Communicates and be the liaison between insurance adjusters, employees, medical professionals, and legal advisors.
  • Organize cases and represent the company at mediations and formal hearings, and place requests for management to settle claims internally.
  • Assist employees with creating doctor’s appointments in correlation with their claims and monitor results.
  • Coordinate or assist action plans aimed at reducing plant accidents.
  • Prepare and summit Workers Comp documents including but not limited to: wage statements, PDA, Job offer letter, job descriptions.
  • Responsible for filing, updating, and reporting OSHA logs for all plants to BLS and OSHA
  • Occasional travel to other jobsite located in Baltimore, MD.
  • Provide employees with accurate FMLA documentation and ensure it is filled out completely and all needed information is on file.
  • Follow up with employees regarding return dates and the status of their FMLA leave.
  • Work alongside payroll to process internal payments to employees.
  • Other duties assigned by supervisor when necessary.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related.
  • Must have 4+ years of experience in benefits and leave administration.
  • Experience working in the manufacturing industry.
  • Must have CWCP Certification
  • Worked with large company processing over 1,000 employees is preferred.
  • Hands on knowledge of HRIS system, Kronos
  • Bilingual is a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Manufacturing Safety knowledge
  • Salary commensurate experience
