RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on electrical systems, including motors, transformers, switchgear, and control panels, to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues, diagnose problems, and implement timely repairs to minimize downtime and production losses.
- Conduct preventive maintenance inspections and follow maintenance schedules to identify and address potential issues proactively.
- Install new electrical systems, equipment, and wiring according to electrical codes, blueprints, and engineering specifications.
- Wire and connect electrical components, devices, and machinery to power sources, control panels, and distribution systems.
- Collaborate with engineers and contractors during equipment installation and commissioning processes to ensure proper wiring and connectivity.
- Install, calibrate, and maintain instrumentation and control systems used in manufacturing processes, such as sensors, PLCs, and SCADA systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair control system malfunctions, communication errors, and equipment interface issues to ensure proper functionality and performance.
- Collaborate with automation engineers and technicians to optimize control system operation and integration with production equipment.
- Adhere to all electrical safety regulations, codes, and company policies to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and others.
- Follow proper lockout/tagout procedures and safety protocols when working on electrical systems and equipment.
- Participate in safety training sessions and contribute to safety initiatives to promote a culture of safety awareness and compliance.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical diploma or certification in electrical technology or related field preferred.
- Willing to work 12 hours rotating shift.
- Proven experience as an industrial electrician or electrical technician in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, components, and wiring methods.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, diagrams, and blueprints.
- Familiarity with electrical testing equipment, hand and power tools, and diagnostic instruments.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose and repair complex electrical issues.
