RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Diagnose and repair mechanical issues in manufacturing and production equipment, including but not limited to production machines, pneumatic systems, hydraulic systems, and conveyors.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on all machinery and equipment to ensure smooth operation and longevity.
- Lead and mentor a team of junior mechanics and maintenance personnel, providing training and guidance as needed.
- Collaborate with the engineering and manufacturing teams to implement system improvements and upgrades.
- Develop and maintain maintenance logs and documentation, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry standards.
- Respond quickly to emergency breakdowns and work efficiently to minimize downtime.
- The Mechanic position will be subjected to all environmental elements such as exposure to high/low temperatures, sun/rain, confined spaces etc.
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures, promoting a safe working environment.
- Stay current with the latest technologies and best practices in machinery maintenance and repair.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2 + years of experience as an Industrial Technician or Industrial Maintenance Mechanic.
- Willing to work 12 hour rotating shifts.
- Experience working with pneumatics & hydraulics preferred.
- Experience working with read/interpreting schematics, blueprints, instruction manuals, OEM drawings and plant diagrams.
- Good documentation skills and practices communication and interpersonal skills.
