RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain 6S and visual management tools such as standard works and hourly boards in a lean manufacturing environment.
- Based on different materials, auto feeds etc., sets controls & and calculates to regulate machine factors, including zero and reference points, speeds, and feeds.
- Observes & and starts machine operation to detect out-of-tolerance machine or malfunction and makes required adjustments.
- .001 of tolerances need to be held by the Junior Manual Machinist.
- Secures, aligns, and selects holding fixtures, attachments, cutting tools, accessories, and materials on machines, like grinders, lathes, jig borers and mills.
- Resolves machine or assembly problems and communicates effectively with production personnel, CNC operators and engineers.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Must have 10-15 years of experience as a Junior Manual Machinist in manufacturing and machine shop.
- Ability to bring your own basic tools, like calipers & micrometers, etc.
- Must have knowledge of basic computer skills.
