RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborate with management and clients to design and execute standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Monitor operational performance to ensure compliance with quality and delivery standards, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and report findings monthly.
- Analyze processes in receiving, inventory, and shipping to identify bottlenecks and initiate improvement initiatives.
- Address customer non-conformance issues efficiently.
- Document work procedures and provide training to ensure adherence to standards and accuracy.
- Track service interruptions using the Salesforce Incident Management system and oversee the resolution process.
- Provide the team with timely and accurate information to help them achieve and exceed customer expectations.
- Foster positive change within the organization to meet key objectives in a fast-paced market.
- Ensure compliance with wage and hour laws, including reviewing timecards, managing leave requests, and scheduling breaks appropriately.
- Offer coaching, training, and development opportunities to enhance team members' skills, providing continuous feedback and holding regular one-on-one meetings and annual performance reviews.
- Oversee safety protocols, responding swiftly to accidents or near misses while managing risk and documentation.
- Conduct investigations into safety incidents and compile reports for executive review.
- Advocate for the organization's mission and goals, cultivating a positive work atmosphere that empowers team members to excel.
- Handle supplier invoicing, apply charges accurately to customers, and ensure prompt monthly billing.
- Manage labor resources across various functions, conducting time studies to determine optimal staffing levels.
- Other tasks as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- Expertise in advanced computer systems and software (such as MS Office, Salesforce, SAP, Highjump, Onpoint) as needed or trained.
- Highly self-motivated and committed to seeing initiatives through to completion.
- Proven ability to deliver outstanding customer service.
- Must have warehouse experience.
- DOT compliance experience for a cartage team.Â
- They should also be well versed in systems such as Samsara and the FMCSA
- Effective problem-solving skills and ability to build strong relationships.
- Adept at managing high-pressure situations with professionalism.
- Nurture a culture of safety, trust, and teamwork.
- Utilize active listening and adept negotiation skills when appropriate.
- Ability to be responsible for meeting key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Enhances team performance through effective training, coaching, and constructive feedback.
- Strong leadership and motivational capabilities in managing diverse teams.
- Demonstrated experience in managing human, financial, and operational resources to maximize efficiency.
