Responsibilities:
- Safety and Compliance: Promote and enforce company safety requirements, manage housekeeping standards for all tasks, and perform duties adhering to company policies, procedures, and quality standards.
- Technical Documentation and Support: Develop and maintain mechanical procedures, manuals, and specifications; provide technical support for procurement and material/service orders.
- Operational and Supervisory Responsibilities: Conduct daily activities to enhance plant reliability and productivity, supervise short-term contractor work, and take on additional tasks assigned by the MDF Maintenance Supervisor.
- Physical and Scheduling Requirements: Work in varying environmental conditions (e.g., high/low temperatures, confined spaces) with physical demands such as standing, climbing, lifting (up to 50 lbs), and operating tools or equipment. Be available for shift schedules, overtime, and occasional off-hours callouts.
- External Interaction and Communication: Collaborate with vendors, suppliers, service contractors, and other plants to support operational needs effectively.
Qualifications:
- Must have High School diploma
- Must have a minimum of two years of experience in maintaining and repairing production plant equipment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, instruction manuals, OEM drawings, and plant diagrams.
- Exposure to electrical systems and related components is preferred.
- Demonstrates a strong work ethic with the ability to mentor team members.
- Capable of working independently with minimal supervision and managing daily tasks effectively.
- Ability to multitask under various conditions, including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
- Occasionally works near moving machinery, in high or precarious places, and in environments with temperature extremes, combustible dust, airborne particles, or potential exposure to chemicals and electrical hazards.
