Responsibilities:
- Perform quality control checks in accordance with company policy and procedures, and ensure production meets quality standards at all times.
- Perform machine start-up, shut down, changeovers, and clean up; ensure all production materials are readily available.
- Responsible for loading parts, proving tapes, operating controls setting offsets, simple edits, deburring, and inspection of quality parts for conformance to requirements.
- Interprets drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces, sequence of operations and setup measurements.
- Adjust operations machines and equipment as needed to correct quality and production issues.
- Assist in troubleshooting process problems and performing maintenance to ensure continued operation of the machines and equipment.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- At least 1-2 years of experience as a machine operator.
- Previous experience with manufacturing operations.
- CNC experience and familiarity with sheet metal forming.
- Skilled using precision measuring instruments like calipers, ID and OD micrometers, depth gages, and indicators.
- Proficient reading drawings and specifications with an understanding of geometric tolerance and dimensions.
- Strong knowledge of tool holders, cutting tools, boring bars, fixtures, inserts, and other accessories used on various machines.
- Previous experience with MS Office, Excel, and Word.
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and learn quickly.
