RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop, implement, and oversee a comprehensive maintenance program, including preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance strategies, to ensure the optimal functioning of all equipment and facilities.
- Lead, manage, and develop the maintenance team, including hiring, training, and performance management, to build a high-performing maintenance department.
- Collaborate with production and operations teams to coordinate maintenance activities and minimize downtime, ensuring that production targets and quality standards are met.
- Manage the maintenance budget, including the procurement of spare parts and maintenance services, to ensure cost-effective maintenance operations.
- Oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of machinery, equipment, electrical and mechanical systems, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
- Implement and maintain maintenance records and documentation, utilizing maintenance management software to track maintenance activities, equipment performance, and repair histories.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of facilities and equipment to identify maintenance needs and improvement opportunities.
- Stay current with the latest maintenance technologies and practices and assess their applicability to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, promoting a culture of safety within the maintenance team and throughout the facility.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in maintenance management, in the food processing or meat manufacturing industry.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse maintenance team.
- Proficient in maintenance management systems and software, with a solid understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
- Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and project management skills.
- Knowledge of food safety, occupational safety, and environmental regulations relevant to the meat manufacturing industry.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment, managing multiple priorities effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
