RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Manage and oversee all mechanical and electrical operations within the facility.
  • Promote a safe work environment for all team members and contractors by enhancing safety practices, supporting corporate safety initiatives, developing standard operating procedures (SOPs), identifying and mitigating hazards, and enforcing safety protocols.
  • Create, implement, and lead preventative and predictive maintenance programs along with inventory tracking systems.
  • Ensure that the mill meets production priorities by supervising the maintenance team and managing maintenance projects effectively.
  • Identify and plan enhancements to improve the mill's efficiency and safety.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure project deadlines are consistently met.
  • Develop and enforce adherence to preventative maintenance protocols.
  • Supervise and coordinate troubleshooting, repairs, and installation of all mechanical and electrical machinery.
  • Assess the production team’s needs and prioritize corrective maintenance accordingly.
  • Address recurring downtime issues and work towards their resolution.
  • Monitor and manage the inventory of mechanical spare parts and supplies.
  • Collaborate with purchasing to ensure timely acquisition of parts and services at competitive prices from vendors.
  • Assist in the integration of new technologies and components into operations.
  • Conduct equipment inspections to identify potential issues and lead initiatives for solutions.
  • Foster continuous improvement initiatives throughout the organization.
  • Maintain training records and requirements for millwrights, electricians, and other tradespeople.
  • Perform additional tasks as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Excellent troubleshooting abilities with a focus on identifying root causes and implementing effective corrective actions.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in maintaining mechanical and/or electrical industrial systems is preferred.
  • At least 3 years of experience in maintenance management, or a combination of relevant experience and training demonstrating the capability to perform essential duties.
  • Knowledge of plant equipment, operations, and both predictive and preventative maintenance systems, along with effective project management skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office, particularly with intermediate Excel skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and self-discipline.
  • Exceptional organizational and analytical abilities.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Salary Range: $85K-$105K salary (DOE)
