RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plan and schedule maintenance work to minimize production downtime and ensure continuous, efficient operations.
- Supervise routine maintenance and repair of production machinery, including machines, conveyors, and other related equipment.
- Develop and enforce preventive maintenance schedules to keep all production equipment running at optimal levels and reduce unexpected downtime.
- Quickly diagnose and resolve complex mechanical and electrical issues to minimize disruption to production processes.
- Ensure adherence to safety regulations and company policies, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and strict adherence to lockout/tagout protocols.
- Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and modifications made to equipment.
- Oversee the maintenance inventory, ensuring spare parts and supplies are stocked as needed without overstocking.
- Order necessary parts and tools in a cost-effective manner, ensuring they are available when required.
- Identify opportunities for process enhancements and equipment upgrades to increase production efficiency and minimize downtime.
- Lead, train, and support the maintenance team, providing mentorship and ensuring high standards of work performance.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or G.E.D. required; technical school or skilled trade certification preferred.
- 6+ years of leadership experience, ideally in a manufacturing or flexible packaging environment.
- 3-5 years of experience as a Millwright.
- 4-6 years of experience in electrical work and machine maintenance.
