Responsibilities:
  • The ideal Maintenance Mechanic must be knowledgeable in operation, maintenance, and repair of CNC and general production machinery and facility equipment.
  • Correct, repair machine leaks, and ensure proper oil levels are maintained in the machines.
  • Schedule Machine Cleanout and Coordinate with outside repair vendors.
  • Update production schedules with maintenance.
  • Repair and function vacuum and floor cleaners.
  • Periodically refill and clean parts sinks.
  • Organize, label, load waste and inform management when waste pickups are needed.
  • Comply with the OSHA requirements by assisting the environmental, health and safety manager.
  • Perform all fire system checks.
  • Ensure chips from the handling department are labeled, organized, and separated. Also, inform management when chip pick ups are needed.
  •  In charge of building maintenance including grounds, lawns, driveways and snow removal, roof and gutters, exterior and overhead doors, windows, crane inspections, forklift operations, training, air compressor services, rotation schedules, septic systems, heating, air conditioning, plumbing, lighting fixtures, and electrical services.  
  • Responsible for routine maintenance on Mist Busters.
  • Maintain a safe, clean work environment and accomplish workflow in a timely manner.
  • Promote and comply with safety policies, company quality and strategic business objectives.
  • Suggest equipment purchases and process improvements.
  • Responsible for wood and garbage trash removal.
  • Order supplies for the plant, office, and Janitorial services.
  • Troubleshoot equipment problems and machines.
 
Salary Range: $18.00-$20.00/hr (DOE)

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • The Maintenance Mechanic should have at least 7 years of experience maintaining and repairing production machines and facility equipment. 
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to understand electrical circuits and mechanical systems.
  • Basic knowledge of computer skills including Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to maintenance and repair CNC turning centers with Fanuc Controllers preferred.
  • Must know how to use Metrology equipment such as micrometers, calipers, indicators, depth micrometers, gauge pins, thread gauges and optical comparators.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Ability to operate a forklift truck.
  • Required to sit, stand, walk, use hands to handle objects, tools, or controls.
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
