RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee the smooth and efficient functioning of industrial machinery and equipment.
- Create and execute detailed maintenance plans, schedules, and strategies.
- Implement measures aimed at minimizing downtime, decreasing equipment malfunctions, and enhancing overall equipment performance.
- Utilize technical knowledge, strong organizational skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Keep up to date with industry best practices, emerging technologies, and equipment upgrades to enhance maintenance processes.
- Guarantee that all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and guidelines.
- Work with safety officers to establish and enhance safety protocols for maintenance tasks.
- Establish and oversee maintenance schedules to reduce production interruptions and minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with production and operations teams to schedule maintenance tasks during the most suitable times.
- Design and uphold comprehensive preventive maintenance plans for industrial machinery and equipment.
- Work closely with maintenance technicians, engineers, and production teams to identify equipment needs and performance goals.
- Assess and distribute resources, such as personnel, tools, and spare parts, needed for planned maintenance tasks.
- Collaborate with the procurement team to ensure the prompt availability of essential materials and spare parts.
- Work with maintenance teams to identify and resolve persistent equipment problems.
- Investigate the root causes of equipment failures and implement corrective measures to prevent their recurrence.
- Assess and improve current maintenance strategies to boost efficiency and reliability.
- Train maintenance staff on new equipment, maintenance procedures, and safety protocols.
- Identify skill gaps and collaborate with the training department to create appropriate training programs.
- Other tasks as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a relevant field.
- Must have experience with industrial maintenance.
- Extensive knowledge of industrial maintenance practices, maintenance planning and maintenance systems.
- Proven ability to utilize computerized management system (CMMS)
- Ability to work cross-functionally with various teams.
