Responsibilities:
- Maintain and repair pelleting and processing equipment, including three 500HP mills, drag and belt conveyors, auger systems, and silos.
- Assist the Mill Operator with die changes and other mechanical issues.
- Support the installation of new equipment.
- Ensure safety for yourself and others (Lockout/Tagout procedures).
- Perform welding and fabrication on both new and used equipment.
- Test spark detection and other fire prevention systems.
- Repair drag and belt conveyors.
- Perform building maintenance tasks.
- Provide assistance in production as needed
Qualifications:
- Must have a high school diploma/GED.
- Must have 1-5 years of experience in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting in an industrial environment.
- Must have Knowledge of pneumatics and basic hydraulics is preferred.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and adhere to established procedures.
- Must be capable of lifting, pushing, or pulling up to 50 pounds unassisted.
- Flexibility to work all shifts and respond to call-ins as needed
