The Manufacturing Director will oversee all manufacturing operations to ensure timely production, adherence to quality standards, and compliance with budget constraints. This role involves optimizing systems and processes to meet the organization’s current and future needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- The Manufacturing Director will design and implement efficient manufacturing systems to maximize resources and ensure on-time delivery.
- Establish lean production and warehousing processes focused on continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards to enhance productivity.
- The Manufacturing Director must develop and implement the Southwark Quality System with staff training.
- Set the strategic direction for operations, assisting the President with long-term goals and technology integration.
- The Manufacturing Director must manage engineering functions and ensure vendor compliance with requirements.
- Review production schedules and inventory to meet safety, quality, and delivery objectives.
Requirements:
- The Manufacturing Director must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Engineering, or a related field.
- Must have a minimum of 10 years of relevant metal manufacturing (metal sheet, duct, fittings, pipe etc.) experience.
- Must have 8+ years of management experience.
- The Manufacturing Director must have strong leadership with both strategic and tactical abilities.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and industry best practices.
- Up to 30% domestic travel may be required.
