RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The Metrologist must review analytical documents and comply with all regulatory & in-house requirements such as safety, housekeeping, laboratory chemical waste, cGMP, cGLP etc.
- Must perform sampling, physical, chemical tests and assay on raw materials, active pharmaceutical ingredients, in-process, finished and stability products, using various wet chemicals, physical and instrumental techniques such as HPLC, GC, UV-Vis, IR, Particle Size Analyzer, KF Auto titrator, Bulk Density, and other routine QC instruments, as per USP or other compendial monographs.
- Must plan and ensure adequate inventory of test reagents and solutions to perform work.
- Ensure supplies are ordered as needed to perform assigned tasks.
- The Metrologist must perform testing as directed and record data & results.
- Must prepare and review Test Procedures, SOPs, and protocols.
- Must maintain and calibrate laboratory instruments, equipment with training.
- Perform troubleshooting and investigations under supervision.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- The Metrologist must hold a Bachelor’s degree with Chemistry as one of the subjects
- Must have a minimum of 4-6 years’ experience in pharmaceuticals.
- Must have a 3-5 years’ experience in analytical testing with QC experience in Generic Pharmaceutical industries.
- Must have knowledge in USP/ICH/FDA
- Must have good communication skills, oral and written.
- Must be fully vaccinated and willing to work onsite.
