Responsibilities:
- The Occupational Safety Manager will Develop and implement standard practices, processes and programs to support the company’s safety strategy.
- Collaborate with teams to ensure a safety culture of zero incidents is achieved.
- Build trust and respect with all departments while showing relentless passion for the safety of team members.
- The Occupational Safety Manager Ensure processes, individuals and systems operate in compliance of occupational safety standards that are mandated by state and federal agencies.
- Drive and support process safety, personnel safety, and stay within OSHA regulatory compliance for the operations of manufacturing and warehousing.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering or Industrial Hygiene.
- 5 years’ experience in industrial safety or a combination of degree and experience.
- OSHA 30 Certification 30 hour or equivalent program
- Food industry experience is preferred.
- Ability to coach, train and motivate.
- NSC Forklift and Lift Truck - Train the Trainer or equivalent preferred
- Possess knowledge of federal & state regulations including OSHA 29 CFR 1910 General Industry standards, ANSI, Clean Water Act, etc.
- Knowledge of Data Management and MS Office Software.
